Wistful eyes. Not knowing what is ahead. He will guide. Guaranteed.

Looking askance. Making sure there is not a rival. Then suddenly swooping in for a quick sip. Many such sips to power a hurried lifestyle. Sated.
Food Factory

A warm sunny day. Not a stir. Not a wind. Blanketed in sunshine. Everything is so calm. Everything is so quiet. Or is it?
A Cooper Hawk's Delight

A squirrel on a redwood tree. He goes up and down in small spurts. After a small sprint, he stops abruptly. And watches. He heads up a tree. Suddenly turns and heads down. Then he moves sideways around the broad trunk. All to avoid me. I will not harm him. The cooper hawk above will. He missed it completely: breakfast. Redwood smiles.

Awash with his glory. Basking. He is soporific. Relaxed with not a worry in this world.
Iridescent. Camouflaged. Brilliant. Shinning. Some of the words that cannot exist without him. What can even possibly exist without him?

With such brilliance he awakes. Glowing. Conquering darkness. Dominating. Overwhelming. Aaaaah.

I have a supposition: This flower is a student of history. She chose her colors wisely. These are the colors the nobles chose. It is the color that the erudite from hallowed portals wear to signify their completion of the journey. It is the color that religious men wear on solemn occasions. It is the color between red and blue. It confuses him.

A woodpecker pecking. A chipmunk clucking. A mockingbird mocking. A wise owl hooting. A finch beeping. An indigo bunting whistling. A cedar waxwing hissing. All in a day's work for him. Orchestral!
A dramatic emergence from slumber. Establishing his dominion over all things, he brings life. Life at the expense of others' including.

A brand new beginning. A successful meeting of the gametes. He will guide the growth of this fleshy offspring. May you bring warmth and smile where ever you are.

The end of a fantastic beginning. Or is it the beginning after a fantastic end? He defines the circle.

Egyptian's Delight
I feel like an ancient Egyptian now. This could have easily happened in the old kingdom. A happy farmer in Memphis waking up in the morning. Looking at the Papyrus. Beautiful dew settled in. A thousand questions in his mind. Do they talk amongst themselves? Why do they dance when the sun rises? Why do they not last forever? Would "jocund" only be reserved for daffodils?

I am convinced that there are more than 7 colors in the rainbow. This morning I glanced upon a dew and she winked at me. She displayed her entire range of colors in slow motion. I saw 7 million colors. Instantly in love!

She stands out in the urban jungle with her yellow blouse. She carries herself with such poise. She displays her pendant with pride. Drinking in the sun she attracts. Seductress!
Every strand stands like a mohawk in adoration. The stigma pointed directly at the sun for full attention. Such vigor. Such a sense of purpose. Does he notice?
Dancing in the sun with full abandon. Throwing all caution to the wind. Nothing to fear when the sun is around. Such alacrity!
The most beautiful, gentle and the most delicate. Her fruit is the sweetest. Yet she is so unassuming. She doesn't realize how pretty she is and how much joy she brings to the beholder. Her fancy dress in pink.
